Your post kind of reminds me of a high school debate match where the rebuttal speaker is so busy trying to counter every single thing the opponent says line by line that they forget to develop an argument of their own. The best I can fathom of what you're saying is from this line: What's wrong with having a situational interest in minors? It's what makes our attractions mainstream and we should be leveraging that instead of falsely accusing them of sadism. Basically the line I heard in the late 90s that "everyone's a little bisexual" except for minor attraction. Fair. But you seem to be ignoring the literature that exists on situational vs preferential offenders. The Lanning profiled child "sex offenders" extensively and the types of interaction prior to and during sexual encounters are vastly different. Situational "offender" is very different to situational "pedophile". I don't want the stepfather that threatens his 6 year old daughter by saying "I'll kill you and your mother if you tell anyone" after fucking her while drunk to be something we leverage as normal. Nor Ian Watkins' desire to use infants as sex toys. |
