'Always Sunset on Third Street'

It's a Japanese film made in 2005 but set in the late 1950s. One of the central relationships in the film is a beautifully depicted AF/YF pairing. The boy is played by Suga Kenta, then the greatest child star in Japan.

Anyone who can sit dry-eyed through the last ten minutes of the film (reuniting of the man/boy pair after they are forced apart) is NOT a BL.

There are other boys in the film too and the friendship between the Suga character and the son of the married couple (who are also central to the film) is very nicely depicted,

I really think you would enjoy it.
