Not equivalent. LGBT terminology came very late in the gay rights movement and serves a different political function, that of lumping in various kinds of sexual minorities who already have a great degree of personal freedom to turn them into a voting block that progressives can mobilize over wedge issues. Pedophiles are not in the same position. The activism that serves establishment groups does not readily translate to the activism that serves marginalized groups because they have entirely different goals, personal liberation vs political co-optation.
