Not sure if anyone has discussed Netflix's Adolescence here before or not, but it was a really heartbreaking show portraying life for teenagers in England, where people have for the most part stopped going to church. The kids in the show are rude little hooligans and discipline has degraded to the point where the teachers are more like prison guards than teachers. The main character is a boy who has been influenced by incel culture. He mentions the 80/20 rule that you mentioned and he talk about another boy who got titty pics from a girl and then passed them around school until everyone saw them. After the girl had been degraded he asked her out, since in his mind she must be desperate for love now that she's down in the dumps. The entyre thing was reminiscent of "boylovers" who hit on younger guys, not because they are necessarily attracted to younger guys, but just because younger guys have less social status and are looked at as easier to get than adult partners. Incel boys have low self esteem and are probably easy prey for manipulative gays looking for an easy target, but really sucking their dicks isn't going to help these guys. The thing they seem to be missing is supportive close knit communities with strong male role models and opportunities to get to know girls and women as people, rather than just as sex objects in the porn they watch. ![]() |
