Your question is very interesting and important. Unfortunately, I don't think there were any pueri delicati whose subsequent history as adults is recorded. The nearest I can think of as an exception is that one ancient source I can't remember offhand said Cicero's famous secretary Tiro, the inventor of shorthand, was his catamite. I've also come across modern commentary that this wasn't compatible with Tiro's age when secretary. It struck me that there need be no incompatibility if Tiro had been Cicero's puer delicatus as a boy and had then grown up to become his principal helper.

I would imagine that it was quite commonly the case when one reads of a Roman having a particularly dependable and loyal freedman that their intimacy originated in a pederastic affair, but this is speculation.
