Thanks very much, Manstuprator. It was indeed Pliny the younger.

While I personally think it likely Tiro had been loved as a boy by his master, it's unfortunately not as clear as the passage you quote from boywiki suggests. The two occurrencies of "boyish" are its inventions, not in the Latin.
