People are not required to disclose personal information in order to participate in BC discussions. BC is open to all people from all backgrounds and orientations, as long as they follow the rules, and anyway defining what it means to be a BLer is no simple matter. There's a post halfway down the board describing a "BLer" who jumped out of bushes to tackle boys to the ground and forcefully perform oral sex on them before kidnapping and murdering a boy. That's a strange use of the word "love." Most decent people wouldn't want to be lumped in with people like that.

In reality almost all human beings love children. Our instinct to protect and care for the young of our community has served our species well over the millennia. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not self serving or boastful. Love is forgiving. Love is honest. These are some of the shared values that true child lovers possess, but you wouldn't be alone if you disagree.

Many so-called "BLers" throw all of the traditional definitions of love out the window. They talk about the different flavors of children like a butcher talking about which cuts of meat they find the tastiest. Sweet and sour Asian Boys, spicy Latino Boys, milky creamy Caucasian boys, rich chocolaty Black boys, little boy tots, big strapping lads, smooth skinned verses hairy and the wispy in-between. Categories that wouldn't be out of place down the edge of a porn website for those unbalanced "BLers" obsessed with looks above all else.

But aside from the fact that there is no agreed upon definition of what it means to be a "BLer," the fact remains that there is still value in participating here on BC without explicitly categorizing oneself, just as a matter of principle, to remind all readers that they don't have to drink the koolaid in order to join our discussions. All are welcome to participate, irregardless of how they define themselves, and those who continually harass those of us who refuse to self-disclose with sexists and transphobic labels are just showing us who they are. Those who attempt to turn every conversation in which an unidentified person participates into a meta discussion about the personality and personal traits of the unidentified person are showing themselves to be divisive trolls.

Here on BC it oftentimes looks like the monkeys are running the zoo. It looks like the online troll version of BLers are fully in charge, but as long as one dissenting voice is allowed to participate that proves that this website, while deathly ill, is not quite dead yet. Tpka "Tyred" is like that one little plant that Wall-E the robot found on a seemingly dead Earth, showing that there is still a shred of humanity to be found even here.
