I don't trust the governments one bit. What's the alternative to government though? Anarchy? If we get rid of government, who's going to pave all the roads? You? I know that industrial civilization is completely unfair. Not really. It's generally based on free association, which is about as fair as it can get. The world is getting worse and worse. No it's not. Technology cannot fix any of the world's fundamental problems. No? Seems like it fixed famine, polio, smallpox, sanitation, uncomfortable temperatures (through AC and central heat), slowness of travel, difficulty of shipping goods, lack of fast communication, and the ozone layer, among many more things. I think you'd be happier and more mentally healthy if you believed in a less pessimistic and unhinged worldview. |
