At least in our lifetimes, it is vastly more likely that the age of consent will be raised to 21 than that it will be reduced to 12. It is vastly more likely that adult pornography will be banned than that child pornography will be decriminalised.

This may happen, but it will backfire because it will have a negative impact on everyone as a result. But in fact, a decrease in AoC to 12 is equally likely as an increase to 21. Unlike the demanding for immediate abolishing. What prevents you from simply indicating a desire for abolition, but seeking changes that are possible during our lifetime ?
