Biological sex is a social construct based on observation and later genetics - a basis that would be pretty hard to erase, but who knows in the far in the future.

Literally no one is saying erase all social meaning. I said in my post that pragmatic individuals in civil society get things done because they are able to work within a normative framework - to compromise.

Example of useless and useful - one initiative would be to erase all ethnicity terminology from government documents and stored data. But you might retain it in medical databases, because it has a justifiable use - for example, asking a person of a certain ethnicity to get tested for a condition they might be predisposed to. Like a prostate check-up.
