Hey kendoll. I'm curious, are you a BL yourself? Either way, welcome to BoyChat. As far as making friends with BLs, I would just say, be careful about revealing any identifying information. Giving someone information that could connect you to your real life identity isn't a good idea. If you're careful, though, you can get to know BLs online anonymously (pseudonymously?). Also, about Tyred and about trust: I saw that he/she/it made some replies to you, and I saw that you said, in a reply to xdsaz: Thank you! I think I'll just have to see as time passes who is and who isn't. I'm getting different opinions from different people so it just adds to the confusion :( I'd like to clarify things, if I can. First, you really shouldn't trust anyone on here. It's an anonymous internet forum, and you don't know who anyone really is, or who really has your best interests at heart and who doesn't. I'd recommend not contacting anyone off-board, whether or not they seem trustworthy. That said, Tyred is one of the most dangerous and least trustworthy posters on this board. He/she/it is not even a boylover and repeatedly posts anti-BL things on this board, in addition to encouraging people to engage in unsafe online practices, like using gmail for BL-related communication. I'll include a link to an earlier post of mine where I give some examples, but a particularly egregious one was where Tyred advocated for castration as a "final solution" to pedophilia. About differing opinions, the only person you'll see say that Tyred is at all trustworthy, is Tyred themself. monkeyLostInHead and Manstuprator have both repeatedly criticized Tyred for being a dangerous and dishonest troll, and they both don't like each other. Similar thing with monkey and Etenne: they argue all the time, but both of them call out Tyred for his/her/its dishonest and malicious behavior. In fact, just about everyone on BoyChat, including its moderators, seem to be on the same page about Tyred's dishonesty and maliciousness. Just wanted to make that clear. Anywho, nice to meet you!
