In the wild most wolves are part of healthy packs that looks out for them, but when a wolf is overly aggressive, diseased or just acts weird, their packs often reject them and they struggle to find their place in the world. This is where the term "lone wolf" came from. Sometimes these gnarly flea bitten beasts will form ragtag all male psudo packs full of snarling and fighting for dominance, but they can't work together very well and end up starving. Healthy wolves rarely attack domesticated animals, but these skinny diseased ones often feel like life has done them wrong and so they are entitled to take an occasional little lamb from the a local shepherd's flock.

Yes the wolves fight and bicker amongst themselves daily, but if they got to vote on who they hated the very most, it would be the sheepdog who barks at them when they start sniffing around the little lambs. A self respecting wolf would return to the forest and go back to their natural diet, but the sickest of the sick attack the sheepdog, making themselves look like fools in the process. Once they have been whooped a couple of times (as have monkeyLostInHead and Etenne) they sometimes make it their crazy life's goal to nip at the sheepdog's heels in a rage every time they get a chance.

Again, unless you are itching to join a psudo pack, don't be too quick to decide who to trust and who to howl at. A sane healthy pack member can respect those who have differences of opinion without feeling threatened or feeling the need to threaten.
