Artur C. Clarke in his Rama trilogy introduces the concept of a "Blockhead" as some kind of artificial creature that steps in to protect harm when confict arises. They earned the term "Blockhead" by not being very nuanced in their tolerance for "pretend" violence and other similar things. |
