As previously discussed with Scotusbaby and LaudateAgno who are proponents of this way of thinking, it always leads to negative and sometimes tragic outcomes when you run into a kid who just can't meet the adult's exceptions. As I said to Scotusbaby, this kid was fucking 3 and could not meet these people's exceptions because he simply was not developmentally ready, not because he was gay or transgender. I am sure they could have sent him to a "camp" with others who shared their beliefs about "man up" but I doubt that would have changed the outcome and there would still be a dead 3-year-old.
