You ask for an example. Just get an international cookbook and I hope you will understand what I mean. Not all will fit you but it can certainly enrich your taste.

I wondered when someone would bring up cuisine.

In what way is being able to put chillies or whatever in your food, enriching. How does giving different tastes to your taste buds enrich you?
