Let me make sure I understand you. You are saying that "transwomen are real women" is NOT meant to mean "transwomen are real women"? That no trans person means that they are a real woman when they say that? This is the first time I have heard anyone claim this. Your entire view of TG is predicated on a straw man argument Its not a straw man because its not an intentionally misrepresented position. It may be an incorrect interpretation of their position, but I am finding it hard to believe that no transgender people hold this position. The slogan "transwomen are women" is not an incorrect assertion of fact, it is a political demand for an end to stigmatization. Says you. If what you say is true, it is a very strange and misleading statement to be saying, if they dont actually believe it. It doesnt sound much like a political demand. If you are in favor of stigmatizing trans people, you should say so, rather than disingenuously claiming they are insane, deluded, or simply don't exist Nowhere have I said anything of the sort, or anything that could be interepreted as such. The fact that I dont believe their claims, does not mean that I am stigmatizing them, or in support of stigmatizing them. How about you clarify for me exactly what they are claiming? if its NOT "transwomen are real women" then what is it? ("I am different" is not really clarification, it doesnt tell me anything) |
