I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Pharmakon. We are a tiny band of resisters, made from a tiny sliver of a small minority, so there are no extra people here. You look back over the years to remember the boys you've been blessed to know and love, and I think a lot of romantic old people think like you, including this old boylover, and I also think back fondly to the role models I've known along the way who helped us question and resist the powerful forces that oppress kids and their friends. You are a valuable resource to me and us. And you never know what life has in store. My mom is a devout Christian and she has this idea from church called Advent "waiting/watching" where they are supposed to look for God in surprising people and places where you never logically expected. For them Christ "comes back" all the time when he manifest himself in other people and sprouts up within us. It's not for us to tell God we are retired. |
