You are maybe confusing cause and effect here, women went to work because capitalism stopped paying men enough to support a family without a second income and feminism was a result of that, not the other way around.

And a return to child labor -- well yes there is a kids lib argument to made there, but we are only a few generations in the West away from sweatshops filled with children (which still exist many places) let's don't idealize that ugly history.

The kids of the ruling classes have always been schooled. Making that option available to working class kids is a good thing. Yes, they should be free to work if they choose, but we have found before that under capitalism making that possible slides quickly into making it an economic necessity for many kids and how much freedom are you giving boys then?

Look for a way forward, Lysander, please. There is no way back.
