I do think that maybe I did start pushing him away too early. I do regret that part of it, though I had good intentions for doing so. He is still a big part of my life, though, so maybe I ought to just relax. No, he's a neighbor who moved in last year who met my nephew and struck up a friendly rapport, and that friendship just kind of blossomed into them seeing each other every day. He's a very kind young man. Hasn't had the easiest life. He's quite lonely. Living by himself. He really enjoys the kid's company. In general, children are good at defeating loneliness. |
