In contrast to boylovers, girllovers are doing essentially nothing in the political realm. Maybe it's because they have no tradition to fall back on. I'm not aware of any society that has ever tolerated older men having sex with young girls without marrying them. In contrast, boylove as practiced today has a long tradition of being accepted in various successful civilizations. Some of the sex positive feminists (often younger women) favor "free love" between partners of all ages and sexes, without marriage. But older feminists tend to favor restrictions on sex between younger women and older men. They want to eliminate the competition. They would have raised the age of consent to 21, if they could've gotten away with it. Femininity is all about docility and submissiveness. Attractive women get handed everything on a silver platter by men who seek to curry their favor, so they have no need to become strong. Even in our feminist-influenced society, men are always rushing to help pretty young women, whether it's with a flat tire or with a school project. There's not really any way to "strengthen" girls to make decisions for themselves and to take personal responsibility, without making them more masculine, which will destroy the sexual polarity, and therefore the attraction, between men and women. Girls are also always going to have a limited window of attractiveness and fertility relative to men, so they have to use that window to attract a lifelong mate, rather than wasting those years on casual sex. There are so many differences between the sexes that it doesn't make sense to treat them the same. They have different purposes and roles and need to be regulated differently. |
