OK, I am sorry when I said I2P was cracked by the FBI, I confused it with Freenet. I want to withdraw that statement and I have no knowledge of I2P not being secure. But yet, if you are not using Tor, or I2P, your downloads can be tracked down, what hides your IP is not encryption, what hides your IP is routing the data across multiple computers -------------- I found the link to the affidavit, this is just one case, I have seen seen other affidavits where the FBI admits they are tracking down people using Freenet, an network that says it can be used for anonymous file sharing but it is not. Link to legal affidavit about an arrest for child porn, page 5: http://docshare01.docshare.tips/files/31066/310667035.pdf "In early 2015, a team of investigators working out of the Office of the District Attorney for Delaware County, Pennsylvania, were surveilling a public online network called Freenet, which allows us ers to communicate and share files in a secure environment. (App. 37). In the course of the investigation, a team of local and federal law enforcement agents executed a state warrant at appellant’s home to search for evidence of child pornography. " |
