I don't believe anybody here downloads anything illegal, but because boylovers can be physically attacked and discriminated at work etc despite doing nothing illegal, one should take privacy seriously if downloading books or political material.

It really pains me seeing people believing that Torrent downloading can not be traced by the FBI because they use encryption, this is not what encryption is for! Encryption will not hide your IP!!

And I2P is hot air, the FBI has cracked the network, they are not telling anybody so they can carry on tracking down and arresting people, I know this because I have read the affidavits where the FBI acknowledges they monitor I2P. I don't have much time now but I will post links to affidavits tomorrow or the day after, I have to to find the them.

Tor can be trusted as far as I know, but I2P is definitely not safe despite developers claiming it is anonymous.

Example of Vuze arrest (2015):

'Police came across Taylor’s IP address while they were conducting an online investigation of sharing child pornography files on the BitTorrent network on Jan. 3, the arrest report said.'

had viewed several videos of child porn that were downloaded from a BitTorrent network client called Vuze.
