According to this article from 2014 a court ordered to execute a search warrant in the house of an MP of the parliament of the federal state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania in Germany. The reason for this was the MP, belonging to the right-wing extremist party NPD, having distributed CD with music that calls for violence against pedophiles. Prior to this the parliament had repealed his immunity. The court investigated him on suspicion of hate crime. The article states that the music on the distributed CD also insulted homosexuals. The prosecution quoted a part of the lyrics as "War against pedophiles, die die die, nobody will survive." The court saw this as a call for violence against a "group of the population being psychic ill and in need of treatment". Being accused of hate speech the MP could face a charge of up to 3 years in prison or a fine.

According to this article published in the same magazine in 2015 the MP mentioned above had to pay a fine of 10,000 euro because of having distributed a CD online with music that calls for violence against pedophiles and homosexuals.

This means there is at least one case of pedophiles being protected by hate crime laws, albeit with a discriminatory reasoning.
