the problem was, the dude who was hitting on my friend, was also his mom's only friend and definitely her only boyfriend, because she was butt ugly and had a kinda repulsive stereotypical New York Jew personality. Plus he gave my friend all kinds of stuff that he would've been too poor to buy otherwise, like a computer, etc. So now this guy is continuing to be my friend's mom's primary caregiver, after she fell down the stairs and become unable to leave her bed (they've called in Adult Protective Services twice to get her removed, but she keeps going back to him because the alternative is to stare at the ceiling in a hospital bed, with no intellectual stimulation), and he also became the executor of my friend's grandfather's will. So my friend is saying, "Oh, we need to get a restraining order to keep him away from her" because otherwise he might use his manipulativeness to get her to sign documents to make him her medical power of attorney, etc. He also wants to belatedly (i.e. 25 years later) testify against this guy to try to get him thrown in jail. Not gonna happen. |
