The detection you mention is an intellectual and analytical task and sounds challenging though I have seen stuff here that I would call work on that part except rarely focused in the way your phrase "deeper structures of ideology and practice" would suggest it should be. Uprooting sounds like political action though perhaps Sicky's setting oneself free in one's own mind is a part of uprooting too.

What is it about boylove that so challenges the hegemonic ideology as to provoke this (as Sicky notes, historically anomalous) fierce repression (and the creation of the pedohysterical mythology that supports and maintains the repression)? Gender keeps bubbling up to the top of my list lately, well except my thinking is not even organized enough for there to actually be a list.
