I've been collecting materials for many years on pedophilia, BoyLove, feminism, child sexuality, etc. etc. I have read many thousands of articles, books, web-pages, etc. and have wanted to take people step-by-step through how we have reached the point that we unfortunately have. Now I need to go back through the hundreds and hundreds of saved scientific articles, many dozens and dozens of books, and God-knows-how-many saved web pages and start putting it all together. It is a daunting task, to say the least. The Indo-European nomadic tribes, the Greeks, the Romans, the early Christians, the later Christians, the Middle-ages sex laws, the white-slavery and 'child-slavery' hysteria and panics, more changes in sex laws, the women's-rights movement, more child-saving, the split between 'homosexuality' and 'pedophilia erotica', Freud, 'sexual psychopaths', stranger-danger, several sex panics, the first serious studies on (physical and very real) 'child abuse', the extension of 'child abuse' to include 'sexual child abuse', the 'free love' movement, the rise in the influence of the pseudo-sciences of psychiatry/psychology, first-wave feminism, the Christian-conservative backlash, second-wave feminism, the beginnings of the 'academic wars' surrounding so-called 'child abuse', the taking the English language hostage by the feminist 'rights' movement and the 'child-saving' movement, the conflation of incest with normal child-sexuality, recent advances in academic understandings, the continued 'academic war', the removal of so-called 'sexist' language from state legal statutes, more changes in 'child protection' laws, the rise in the 'prison-industrial' complex, the huge increase in arrests for 'child sexual abuse', and the ballooning of prison sentences, post-sentence incarceration for 'sexual predators', the role of mass-media in all the above, the role of the Internet, more new research, etc. etc. etc. (The preceding list is off the top of my head, and many things have been left out I'm sure.) Do you see what I mean by 'a daunting task'? I've got the pieces of the puzzle - thousands and thousands and thousands of them - and all I have to do is just put them all together. And I assure you, a large part of the picture that will emerge involves the feminist movement. I guarantee that. Anyone who says otherwise is truly ignorant of history. When will I do the above? It's hard to say - I'm doing more important, more immediate work right now. There is so much to do, and so little time to do it in. :-/ -- Randy |
