The monotheistic faiths of Abraham are at the root of our oppression. Certain content in their sacred texts makes them innately intolerant, innately authoritarian and innately violent, and this will never change until those texts are no longer held to be the word of the creator of the universe - until, that is, these religions no longer have any adherents. Without them, this would be a much better world. The other big religions are a mixed bag.
