Shame about sexuality and bodily processes...

... is an important part of the Judeo-Christian paradigm. Many people, in the Western world, find their sexuality distorted due to these religious teachings. Of course, because sex is such a powerful impulse, even in non-Christian cultures you often see people having problems adjusting to their bodily processes and sexual desires. Which are, after all, so closely linked. Hindu men have some very serious hangups, as well. Of course, being Indo-European, perhaps the cultural roots are, in a ways, similar. Japanese, too, have serious problems with their sexuality, though they are not Christian. But shame is very often used to control behavior in their culture. The abuse of power is endemic in their culture. Arabs, as well, have serious concerns. Of course, their god is the ancient god of the Hebrews, a god of wrath and vengeance. The Christian god is problematic because it has very strong elements of the ancient Hebrew god, overlain with the revolutionary "new" god of love, compassion, and forgiveness. Really can fuck up a persons mind, that can... Then you have to realize that Christianity is always an imported religion. Part of the brilliance of the proselytizers is that they study the indigenous beliefs, then redefine them in terms of the Christian trinity, and saints. Truly diabolical! Of course, I'm talking about the Catholics, too. The Protestants have their own methods. Burn, sinner! Shame about bodily processes is very destructive to the formation of healthy attitudes towards sex. Whatever... I'm curious what you mean by "provided privately"?
