| It's BECAUSE the US is so sex-repressed from an early age that they are so obsessed with material goods? Think about it, if you're brought up (brainwashed) into viewing it as for strictly procreational/possessive purposes rather than strictly enjoyment, you're going to want to desperately find other substitute pleasures. Like big houses, new cars, overeating fried foods (which are always delicious, lets face it), latest gadgets... and so on. Just a thought. I think if we learnt sex to be something we could just do because it was nice as kids, before babbies and relationships and leverage (women) get involved, we wouldn't care nearly as much about the other stuff. |
