You have tons of good advise here already. About the only thing I can add is not to talk to anyone you might end up in a jail cell with about your case. There is nothing stopping them from testifying against you. Now that you have bonded out. I don't see this as a problem as you will probably not go back to jail until this is all ironed out. If at all. It's not the end of the world. There will come a time when this is all behind you. Life will be good again, just hang in there. Trials cost money so they will tend to want to do the plea bargain. The longer you linger without accepting, the better the offer will be. You can't hang on forever, but you sure don't want to jump at the first offer. If you do somehow end up in prison, it's not as bad as the movies make it out to be... depending on what prison you end up in. In prison, don't makes friends too fast. You have to be highly particular who you fall in with. Don't take loans of anything and don't get into debt. That's the fastest way to get into trouble. After you get the feel of how things work in prison you can bend these rules some. But at first you need to keep a low profile and make sure you don't owe anything to anyone. I don't recommend prison to anyone, it's not all that pleasant. But it's also not the end of the world or what you see in the movies. You can get threw this. Right now your problem seems huge, but it's not even close to being worth killing yourself for. If you can't get the idea of doing some kind of drug overdose out of your mind, consider this. You can get the pills together and make a package (sealed well and with no metal) and put it in the ole "vault" (stick it up your ass) just before you get locked up. That way, you will have a way out if you find that once inside, you can't handle things. I suspect that you wont find a use for it. Best of luck! Cya Rospo the toad |
