May I comment re tell the solicitor ''everything''

Laws vary. In some places, if you admit to your lawyer/solicitor that you *did* do something, then he *cannot* put you on the witness stand if you want to say you *did not* do something, as he would be a party to you committing perjury.

Check first with your solicitor, speaking in a "hypothetical situation" style.

(NOTE: I am not a lawyer. Consult your lawyer about the above, but be really careful.)
