The death of childhood

Oh dear. This might not mean anything to Yanks, but when I was very small there was a TV programme for littluns (like me) called Rainbow, which featured a human (Geoffrey), a slightly unsettling man in a bear suit, and puppets George and Zippy (the latter of whom had a mouth which could be zipped shut - a highlight of the episodes when I was little, but now seemingly rather cruel!). It was good, wholesome entertainment - or so it seemed. But the episode below has finally shattered my childhood Eden for all time.
