Yes, Labour under Burnham is up to its old tricks of delegitimising and demonising the left for opposing genocide and ethnic cleansing. Burnham has condemned the Greens' ZiR (Zionism is racism) motion as antisemitism, and local Labour councillors have been instructed not to be in coalition with Green councillors unless the latter denounce their own party's policy. Residents where councils were run by Labour and Greens in coalition are to be thrown into chaos because Labour has decided that delegitimising criticism of Israel is more important than the material needs of local residents. Burnham has shown how superficial he is, and much praise goes to Zack Polanski for refusing to apologise in any way for his party's policy and hitting back at Burnham: “I’m the only Jewish leader of a political party. I’m a victim of antisemitism every day and I’ve made it clear Jewish people are welcome in my party. You’re a Prime Minister who arms a genocide and locks pensioners up for opposing it.” Good on Zack! Is Labour doing all this because it really cares about antisemitism?
