Just for fun, this is how I think I should have voted in every UK general election since I was born (putting aside tactical voting). 1970 Labour or Liberal 1974 (Feb) Labour or Liberal 1974 (Oct) Labour or Liberal 1979 Labour or Liberal 1983 SDP/Liberal Alliance* 1987 Labour 1992 Labour 1997 Green 2001 Liberal Democrat 2005 Liberal Democrat 2010 Green 2015 Green or Labour 2017 Labour 2019 Labour 2024 Green 2029 (presumed year of next election) Green *Labour's policy in 1983 was to leave Common Market + its nationalisation programme too ambitious + SDP/Liberal Alliance favoured proportional representation + I liked Roy Jenkins!
