I am not sure Caligula was always mad or even destined for madness. I believe Caligula was poisoned which caused a high fever and significant brain damage. He lost the ability to suppress his more random desires.


Trump is not mad. He is a monster. He knows what he is doing and the harm it is causing and simply doesn't care. He enjoys to destroy for the sake of destruction.... nothing more.
