Re: dishonesty

This thread was begun by my protesting the terrible treatment of the Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli state. You objected to my criticism on the ground that the Israeli actions were justified as there was no better "solution" to the Palestinian problem than a policy that involved ethnic cleansing and the mass killing of civilians. It is hardly "dishonest" to characterise this as a defence of murder and genocide. The alternative is for Israel to dismantle its apartheid regime. Under such circumstances, there would be no threat to the Jewish people in Palestine from Hamas or anyone else, since the principal cause of Palestinian grievance against Israel is the injustice and oppression to which they are subject.
