This seems to be walking back on your earlier statement that the trans issue will do nothing to help us, and that we should support it out of an impartial love for the youth. Naturally, I want to live in a society in which parents would approve of their kids having adult male lovers. This is not the same as a society in which kids, no matter what age, could do anything even without the approval of their parents. So maybe this is the root of the issue. In a sane society, parents would approve of adult male lovers (not any adult male lover, of course - they may rightly disapprove of particular would-be erastes), because they would realise the immense value that such a relationship can have for their son. But what of gender dysphoria? This is surely a treatable illness. One form of treatment may be chemical. But given the increase in cases, and such things as the influence of social media and other aspects of modernity, would parents be wrong in thinking that physical transitioning might not be the right solution for their particular son or daughter? You seem to think this is irrelevant, because all that matters is youth rights. For me, though youth should have more freedom than they currently have, what matters is outcomes, and the kind of society we want to live in. I shall also point out that the radical agenda you posit - basically, an extension of absolutist libertarian self-ownership rights to kids, including very young kids - is really not likely to be embraced even by a weird society like America. The trans part of what you are advocating - which involves expensive treatments - yes, that is a possible trajectory for America, for there are powerful agencies pushing America in that direction (being opposed by a variegated bunch of other agencies). But this alone will do nothing for us, will it? Your argument seems based on a verbal ambiguity in the English word "sexual". It can mean gender, or it can mean eroticism. But the only actual connection between trans and pederasty as that they both concern kids and their bodies. So basically, all you need to do, to get boylove lib off the ground on the back of trans rights, is to find a way of making men and boys' falling in love dependent on expensive, preferably lifelong, medical treatments.
