Cool history lesson, but I'm not sure what this has to do with what I said. Russia having owned "THE Ukraine" for centuries up until the 90s doesn't mean that it has a right to invade Ukraine now. Does China have a right to invade Taiwan just because it has controlled it historically? Does the United Kingdom get to invade Zimbabwe, just because it owned the territory of Rhodesia for a while? Maybe Italy can take over the whole Mediterranean, since the Roman Empire used to control it? If your whole point is that Putin wants to restore the former glory of the Russian Empire and not the Soviet Union, then sure I guess? |
