Antisemitism is a lagging indicator of Jewish behavior. Whenever Israel does something that outrages the world, antisemitism is slow to ramp up, and never quite reaches the level you would have expected given the provocation. With Israel’s war crimes, revenge killings of civilians, and genocide in Gaza, the word antisemitism has totally lost its ability to be used as an insult. Anyone who responds to criticism of this behavior, not by agreeing with the criticism, but by labeling the critic as antisemitic, is a fool. The greater wrong here is the genocide, not that pointing it out makes the Jews feel bad. |
