to take that literally. Incredibly tone deaf. (Either that or you know perfectly well that you're spreading a tone-deaf and rather insane interpretation, which is what most of the media do.)

The liberals hate Trump for being blunt and crass, but they themselves have long lost all sense of subtlety and accuracy. Biden pretended to run as a reaction to Trump's "good people on both sides" line -- another example of something laughably disingenuous.
