Almost regardless of policies etc..

He appears open-minded, and can string together coherent ideas into sentences that make sense.. there's a good start. An intelligent person, almost regardless of their background, can look at pressing problems in a variety of ways to come up with multiple possible solutions.. not just simplistic ones. I suspect Pete could be good this way. And I think such a person (lots more actually) is what the US govt sorely needs right now.
