Trump shooting: crime of opportunity?

I can't say I have been following this story closely.... frankly after seeing the video, my only thought was, "well, that's going to leave a scar". However, I did read one story today that suggested to me that this kid had no political agenda and was tracking both Trump and Biden. Trump happened to be closer.
