It's strange -- this is the first review that I found of the book when I initially searched, and I then assumed that many others felt the same about the book. Until I searched again for reviews, and most all were positive! That came as a surprise... I have since read dozens and dozens and dozens of reviews of the book. You know me, I like to be thorough. ;-) Most reviews were positive, but within the comments attached to many of the reviews were quite a few from those who claimed that what Vance "remembered" was nothing like what THEY remembered about life growing up in the Appalachian mountains... We do know now that Vance is a liar and an opportunist who will say or do anything to better his lot. Talk about a spineless, two-faced politician! Anyway, here's the review that I based my post upon: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/05/06/jd-vance-book-dangerous-00030374 [@nonymouse] [Guardster] [Proxify] [Anonimisierungsdienst] |
