If theres no truth and no facts, then theres no way I can determine if anything you say is true or not, and therefore can just dismiss it as you blowing off hot air. however, as you clearly do believe in truth and facts, by having made truth claims and factual claims....... It was never a "fact" or a "truth" that what goes up must come down. It was a statement supported by (limited) evidence available up to that point in time. Weve already been over this in your last attempt to debunk, which I easily showed to be wrong. Your argument is exactly the same, as is my rebuttal. The fact that beliefs have changed over the centuries does not mean that theres not truth, or that theres a personal truth. it just means that people had false beliefs, or an incomplete picture. The fact that people have been wrong is not proof that there is no truth. Most people have lots of false beliefs. False beliefs being, beliefs that do not accord with reality. That does not mean that theres not objective truth. The fact that things are incorrectly accepted as facts, does not mean that theres no facts. It is still actually a fact that what goes up must come down, if you add the extra info that you are on a planet or some other body with mass, and that your throw does not have enough energy to fight against gravity and achieve orbit. So yes, there are "facts" and there is "truth". Is what I have claimed above "true" or not? Have I explained how some things are (mistakenly) accepted as "facts" or "truths" when they may not be? I could explain more, but I'm tired of typing, just as I'm tired of arguing with uninformed people (not you, Etenne -- I mean the other dummy). I dont get why you do this, put little jabs and adhominems in your footnote. It adds nothing to the conversation and just makes you look mean spirited and petty. You must have been really annoyed when I said that I hadnt noticed that you were a BL expert. You should be careful about throwing around insults when you have failed to show that I am incorrect. |
