Some updates on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Posted by andrew_bl on 2024-April-29 03:01:17, Monday

1.Russia has forced Ukraine troops to withdraw from Eastern front villages called Berdychi, Semenivka and Novomykhailivka. Russia has deployed 32,000 personnel in these offenses and has had considerable success, both militarily and in terms of morale.

2.Russia has also had successes in the Donetsk region, bringing with them tragic accounts of killing civilians there.

3.After the US Congress blocked further aid to Ukraine for 3 months due to political in-fighting, the flow of American military assistance to Ukraine has finally been restored. The key factor, among many, was national security adviser Josh Hodges declaring that restoring military aid was an effective way of countering the growing axis between Russia, China and Iran! OMG

4.Ukraine has been launching drone strikes against oil refineries in Russia. It appears that some strikes have very much damaged Russia's oil industry but it is difficult to confirm or deny such reports.
The US does not support this action because of fears it could threaten the global energy market.

5.Russia has attacked Ukraine's gas facilities and its thermal power plants in the last week.

6.Belgium, Norway, Spain and Japan have made huge donations to Ukraine's war effort in the past few days. Japan in particular has contributed many billions of dollars in humanitarian aid since the beginning of the conflict.

Whoever or whatever your God may be, please pray for peace.
