Or just plain hot boys! You may know of this tradition already, but here's some really good examples of it. I'm not completely sure of the Houthi connection to some of these, but there are some that are clearly at a Houthi celebration, and they are all displays of traditional Yemeni culture. Unfortunately, when compiling this list i couldn't find some of the really good ones i knew i had seen before, but you can find plenty more examples in the YouTube recommendations anyway. The whole brandishing-a-curved-knife-dance is a specifically Yemeni thing, which the Houthi aims to preserve from the Saudi-US imperialists. Along with, presumably, what some of these boys do "after hours". I don't think there's any question which side we should be taking here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgxAXeLBmlM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Mn4owEP9w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_qIdgfwIbk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgRNdiXOJao https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYAqpUz21zU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-kwo54EdyU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku0UAb_cC34 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSz6r0n4JSs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdX3LRw0Imw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqmWnN9d9QE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=re2vJY8l2uI |
