Today I read a BBC news article about the victims of Israel's current campaign, including pretty boys, young doctors and wonderful stout old grandmothers: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67278549 I then clicked on another BBC article, on the popularity of Alternative für Deutschland, and the unpopularity of asylum seekers in Germany: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-67238144 The far right (Alternative für Deutschland, Rassemblement National - Trump as well, I understand) has become massively pro-Israel. The funny thing is that these far right parties, and the mainstream European parties in general, don't seem to see a link between their support for war, genocide and ethnic cleansing abroad, and the European migrant crisis at home. Why is that, I wonder? |
