Yeah, not exactly. But if you read the mainstream news coverage, you might think so. AP headline: "Trump posted what he said was Obama’s address, prosecutors say. An armed man was soon arrested there." CNN quoted from a memo filed by prosecutors arguing the man should be kept locked up. According to the memo, on June 29, “former President Donald Trump posted what he claimed was the address of Former President Barack Obama on the social media platform Truth Social.” The man then "used his own Truth Social account to re-post the address. On Telegram, Taranto then stated, ‘We got these losers surrounded! See you in hell, Podesta’s and Obama’s.’” Naturally, I was curious to see Trump's post. Am I just bad at Googling, or are they getting better at hiding the stuff they don't want us to see? Apparently, what Trump did was post a 2017 newsletter article by Phyllis Schlafly that included Obama's address. Not exactly a call to arms I wouldn't think, but hard to know without seeing either the Truth Social post or the Schlafly article. I wasn't able to find either. Wouldn't it be the job of the news media, or failing that their critics, to provide that? I did find one news article saying the Trump Truth Social post was "still available." Well, not to me, at least not easily. hugzu ;-p [@nonymouse] [Guardster] [Proxify] [Anonimisierungsdienst] |
