Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you're some helpless victim. My point was simply that he clearly gets under your skin, whether intellectually, emotionally, or in some other way, I can't really tell through a screen, and that he seems to take pleasure in doing so. Obviously, it takes two to tango, and I've mostly ignored this poster myself. But from what I've observed, he's deliberately toying with you. He slips little things into his posts that he knows you'll disagree with, seemingly for no other reason than to provoke a reaction. What bothers me isn't the occasional heated exchange where people get irritated with one another. That happens. It's that he does this consistently, and seems to genuinely enjoy getting a rise out of you. To me, that's where it crosses the line from ordinary disagreement into something needlessly cruel. Sorry if I didn't make that distinction clear the first time around. |
