You can criticize me for anything you want, but you don't get to assign motives to me or pretend you know what's going on inside my head. Maybe the reason I didn't address coonigan's issues directly is that I genuinely don't know how to help. And frankly, when someone's posts are so scattered, jumping from one subject to another with no clear thread connecting them, it's difficult to even get a handle on what they're trying to communicate, much less engage in a meaningful discussion about any particular issue. You can't really have a productive conversation about a subject when you can't clearly identify what the subject is or what point the person is trying to make. Maybe this is simply my way of expressing concern, however imperfectly. Because when we're dealing with someone online, sometimes acknowledging that we're concerned and showing that we care is about all we can realistically do. I don't pretend to have the answers, and I'm certainly not qualified to help someone navigate what may be a psychological crisis online. You're free to interpret my actions however you choose. That's your right. But there's a difference between questioning what I do and claiming to know why I do it. You don't get to decide what I think, what I feel, or what my intentions are. And you certainly don't get to present your assumptions about my motivations as established facts, especially given your own long and storied history on this board. As far as I can tell, your entire presence here has consisted of trolling rather than expressing any substantive opinions of your own. You seem to have devoted an almost obsessive amount of your time and energy to following around and antagonizing particular individuals, as though your entire reason for participating here revolves around them. Given that track record, you're in a particularly poor position to lecture anyone else about their motives or the sincerity of their contributions. |
